League Founder Manny Pacquiao has time and again warned against those who would take part in game-fixing. Even after all those warnings officials of the MPBL have issued a memo stating they are ready to reveal the names of players and teams allegedly involved in game-fixing.

This, after the league requested help from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in helping them identify the perpetrators behind the scheme.

The issue started last June 25, 2019, when Marlon Adolfo of the Laguna Heroes tweeted something that caught the league’s and the whole basketball community’s attention.

Adolfo tweeted, “Tan*i*an*o! Desire to win lang yun lang! Di ko kaya dumepensa mag-isa! Depensa di natuturo yan! Yung effort kusa yan! Walang kwenta yung double-double ko kung puro kayo patalo! Puros kayo benta! 100k mabilis lang maubos yan! Konsensya nyo na lang.”

Rumors and stories then started to spread after the controversial tweet with Pacquiao again issuing a public warning against game-fixing.

The MPBL management said that the list will be announced within this week, and these players, coaches, and staff who will be named will face either a ban or a penalty.
