Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers donated P1 million to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) after it caught fire in May 2021.

Lillard’s contribution to the Philippines-based health care is only one of his good deeds after receiving the April NBA Cares Community Assist Award.

It was actress and dancer Yassi Pressman who confirmed Lillard’s donation after giving the star guard a shout out on her official Instagram account.

“Huuuuuge thanks to big brother Damian Lillard for sending over such a generous amount, kahit na wala siya sa Pilipinas, just to be able to help,” posted Pressman.

Just like Lillard, Pressman is also one of Adidas’ ambassadors and is currently under contract that paved the way for the connection between the two figures.

Pressman started to put up a donation drive for the hospital last week after visiting the vicinity that was badly damaged by the fire.

“Last Saturday we took the time to visit PGH, the hospital was in dire need of help. Coming to PGH made me deeply appreciate all the nurses, the volunteers, the staff, and the mission of the hospital,” Pressman said.

The young actress is calling for additional help and shared that for those who are interested in giving cash or any donation, addressing the PGH Medical Foundation Inc. is the key.
