ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Region 6 has finally filed criminal charges against Don Patroceño Calvez Chiyuto Jr. or Don Chiyuto, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Creative Wealth Document and Facilitation Services

In a radio interview Tuesday afternoon, Atty. Jeremiah Sargado, assistant regional director of NBI-6, confirmed the filing of large scale estafa charges against Chiyuto before the Roxas City Prosecutor’s Office.

Sargado said 9 investors stood as complainants in the first batch of the case and 5 to 6 complainants in the second batch.

The complainants said that they invested around P70 to P80 million in Chiyuto’s firm in return for quick returns.

Aside from Chiyuto, the NBI also filed charges against Junelyn Gregorio Obamos, the CEO of the 25-day double your money investment scheme.

One of the complainants in the case aired his grievances against the two CEOs.

“We want to seek justice for our hard-earned money that was carted away by the heartless scammers,” Jun (not his real name) said.

Jun is an investor in both Chiyuto and Gregorio schemes.

The investor said that he invested P2 million with Chiyuto alone. He also included in the case the two uplines who convinced him to invest after he could not reach them anymore.

Jun is one of the nine investors who sought the help of the NBI in running after Chiyuto.

He said he was enticed by friends who doubled their investments in Chiyuto.

Another investor, this time in Gregorio’s firm, decided to file charges against Junelyn Gregorio as he believes that he cannot anymore recoup his money.

He tried meeting Gregorio when she was arrested by the NBI in Iloilo City but to no avail.

The Securities and Exchange Commission canceled the registration of Chiyuto’s firm for allegedly mounting a Ponzi scam in Roxas City and Capiz.

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investing scam which generates returns for earlier investors with money taken from later investors. This is similar to a pyramid scheme in that both are based on using new investors’ funds to pay the earlier backers. (Investopedia.com)

In March 2021, reports came out that Chiyuto was abducted by his former associates and he remains missing until today.
