Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) launched its official newsletter, “Ang Pahayag” during the traditional flag raisingceremony at Camp Montelibano’s parade ground on December 9, 2019.
This is the first time that NOCPPOpublished its newsletter since its founding 74 years ago.
Easter Anne D. Doza of Philippine Information Agency led the unveiling as the guest of honor during the ceremony. She was assisted by Police Colonel Romeo A.BalerosNOCPPODirector.
Thenewsletter is the initiative of Balerosas a way of using print media to its full potential in conveying public safety announcements as well as newsworthy accomplishments of the unit.
Early in his stint as provincial director,Baleros gave importance to good media relations, active police-community partnership and effective public information.
On June 13, 2019, the NOCPPO Press Corps was organized.
The undertaking was completed through the efforts of the former chief of Police Community Affairs Development Section of NOCPPO, Lieutenant Colonel Lea Rose B Peña; and Police Major Edison N Garcia, Chief of Public Information Office NOCPPO with the expert advice of NanneteGuadalquiver of Philippine News Agency as consultant.
The 8-page newsletter features other activities sponsored by NOCPPO from July to September of this year and the succeeding issues shall be published every quarter.
