Norppo installs new commander

BACOLOD City – Police Colonel Glenn Mayam was assigned as the new officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (Norppo) effective June 1, 2021.

Mayam, who came from Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 headquarters, replaced Police Colonel Bryant Demot, who was moved to the regional headquarters in Cebu City.

Police Brigadier General Mafelino Bazar, deputy regional director for administration of PRO-7, led the turnover rites at Norppo headquarters in Sibulan town last Tuesday.

Mayam said that he strongly believes that a bond of unity is desired to strengthen the commitment and confidence as Team Norppo soars to achieve more under his leadership.

Demot thanked the personnel of Norppo for the relentless support they have extended during his stint.

Demot also expressed his gratitude to the people of Negros Oriental for their trust and support to the provincial police force.

He encouraged all the personnel to support the newly installed OIC in performing the marching orders of the Philippine National Police in totally gaining the mutual respect, trust and confidence of the people.
