BACOLOD City – A college student was arrested for alleged possession of 30 grams of suspected shabu worth P204,000 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.
According to the police, the 21-year-old subject has been placed under monitoring for weeks following reports about his alleged involvement in the illegal activity.
Police also confiscated from him the P3,800 marked money and other non-drug items.
Meanwhile, 13 persons, including a teenager were also apprehended in separate anti-illegal drug operations here and in the province from July 10 to 12.
Police seized P130,900 worth of suspected shabu in the province, particularly in the cities of Bago, Sagay, Kabankalan, Himamaylan, Cadiz, and Victorias, and the towns of Murcia and Binalbagan.
Also confiscated here were P137,400 worth of the said contraband, particularly in Barangays 14, Sum-ag, and Estefania.
