BACOLOD CITY – Four persons were arrested with an estimated P414,800 worth of suspected shabu here and in Negros Occidental last Thursday.

Police arrested an individual known as “Tata” in a buy-bust operation at his house in Purok Gaisano, Barangay Alijis in this city, leading to the seizure of 45 grams of suspected shabu worth P306,000.

Police Captain Greeky Cayao, head of Police Station 7, said it took almost two weeks to monitor the suspect, who was being arrested for a drug offense for the first time.

Cayao said they subjected Tata to monitoring after receiving information on his alleged illegal activity.

According to Cayao, he was tagged as a newly identified street-level individual.

Meanwhile, three persons were also apprehended in a drug bust in Barangay 1, Kabankalan City, with the confiscation of 16 grams of suspected shabu worth P108,800.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Roberto Indiape Jr., city police chief, said that 41-year-old “Madam” from this city was the subject of the operation, while her two companions allegedly conspired in the illegal drug trade.

Indiape noted that “Madam” had been previously arrested for a drug offense, prompting authorities to continuously monitor her until she was reported to be allegedly engaging in illegal drug activities in Kabankalan City.

They were all identified as street-level individuals, according to the police.

Police also confiscated an improvised straw scoop, the P500 marked money, and an improvised glass tube from them.

Indiape said the three suspects tested positive for drug use.
