BACOLOD City – Authorities seized an estimated P4,038,900 worth of suspected shabu in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Negros island from December 17 to 18.
An estimated P1,958,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated here while P2,080,900 worth of the same contraband was recovered in the two provinces of Negros Island.
In Negros Oriental, Giselle Diez, 22; and Kevin Jeff Santillan, 27, both identified as provincial level high value target were arrested in a drug raid by virtue of a search warrant at Barangay Camanjac, Dumaguete City.
The operation was conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Branch – Special Operations Group, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Dumaguete City Police Station, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Police recovered from the scene about 275 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,870,000, and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects are detained at the said police station.
In Bacolod City, Kimberly Berbor, 25, of Barangay 30 was arrested in a buy-bust at Barangay Pahanocoy here yesterday.
Police seized from her seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing 150 grams worth P1,800,000, and the P2,000 marked money.
Berbor is detained at Police Station 8.
Police Major Charles Gever, station commander, said Berbor is a high value target.
Also arrested at Barangay 17 here last Tuesday were Elizabeth Galo, Raquel Cantiller, and Roberto Natividad after police confiscated from them six sachets of suspected shabu worth P150,000, the P2,000 marked money, and drug paraphernalia. All suspects are detained at Police Station 2.
That day, Nelson Dewara, 29, of Barangay Vista Alegre here, a newly-identified drug personality, was arrested in a drug bust at the said village. Police seized from him six sachets of suspected shabu worth P8,000, and the P300 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 5.
In Negros Occidental, Alfredo Bustamante III, 40, of Himamaylan City was arrested in a buy-bust at Barangay 2, Kabankalan City which resulted in the confiscation of eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P200,000, drug paraphernalia, and the P100 marked money, and P1,460 cash.
Also arrested in a drug bust in the province was Claire Pontino, 37, of Barangay 6, Victorias City, a level one high value target in the city. Police recovered from the suspect five sachets of suspected shabu worth P5,000, the P400 marked money, and P631 cash.
In Cadiz City, Romulo Bacroya, 45, of Barangay Zone 2, a former village watchman, was arrested in a buy-bust at the said village after police seized from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P5,000, and the P500 marked money.
In Hinigaran town, Elmer Fernandez, 19, of Barangay 3 was arrested at the said village after he was caught with a sachet of dried marijuana leaves worth P900, the P100 marked money, and P70 cash.
