The Petro Gazz Angels cruised past the resilient Black Mamba-Army in just four sets, 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, during another edition of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

One of the most talented rosters in the PVL, Petro Gazz made their statement win against Jovelyn “The Bionic Ilongga” and her Army team who gave the Angels four hard sets.

Despite the win, the Angels still faced tough competition and had to dig deep to bag three sets against the experienced Army team.

Ces Molina and Myla Pablo played outstanding volleyball and sparked the Petro Gazz offense and provided six straight points for their team once the fourth set began.

After Molina and Pablo’s offensive explosion, Gretchel Soltones then came to life and started to hit from all cylinders to lead the Angels in scoring with her 18 points off 16 attacks.

“Ang importante ay makagalaw kami nang maayos. Tulad kanina, ang tagal nung paghihintay but yung mga players umaasa pa rin na matuloy kaya kahit papaano ayun nakalaro pa rin nang maayos,” said Petro Gazz head coach Arnold Laniog.
