One of the teams in the Philippine Football League (PFL) is currently facing allegations regarding unpaid wages and other money issues.

The Global FC, a football organization based in Makati, was called up by the PFL office to clarify issues thrown at them involving their staff’s unpaid salaries.

It was after Sayagraphics, a company specializing in creating visual concepts with informative ideas, came to the PFL and accused the club of not paying their salaries since January.

Sayagraphics was hired by the football club to create art cards for their social media pages.

“The owner replied but days have passed and he kept saying that he would send the money or he was just too busy, yet I see his Instagram stories, where he’s just partying,” wrote Sayagraphics in their Facebook post.

PFL commissioner Coco Torre is scheduled to meet with the Global FC management to clear out the complaint.

“Our aim is to ascertain the current situation of the club and discuss with club management the actions they are taking,” said Torre.

This is not the first time the football club faced such allegations.

In 2018, players also complained that they were not given their wages during the PFL season.

“Players’ welfare is important to the growth of a professional club and of the league. The club must address the issues raised,” said Philippine Football Federation general secretary Edwin Gastanes.
