ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The police are at an impasse concerning the identity of the suspects responsible for the murder of a businessman at the Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center in the early hours of Wednesday, April 24.

Police Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles, an information officer with the Roxas City Police Station, reported that Romulo Pajonar, known as Kalbo, 61, from New Road Barangay Banica, was discovered deceased with blood emanating from his body.

Rosette Pajonar, the victim’s wife, recounted that after failing to locate her husband outside their store, she used the back entrance to gain access, where she was met with the harrowing sight of her husband’s body amidst sacks of rice.

In addition to the grim discovery, she noted that the proceeds from that evening’s sales, which were stored in a bag, were missing.

Believing that the suspects had ransacked the stall, as indicated by the disheveled state of their merchandise, Rosette suspects the motive for the intrusion.

Authorities posited that Pajonar may have resisted his assailants, given the nature of his injuries.

The current hypothesis by the police suggests that robbery was the motive for the killing.

As the investigation progresses, efforts continue to determine the extent of the assets taken by the suspects.
