Police have already identified one of the two suspects who robbed two salesmen of a cigarette distribution company in Cabatuan, Iloilo a few days ago.

Captain Dionisio Estacio, Cabatuan police chief, said the two victims identified the suspect through the police rogue’s gallery.

The same suspect was the man who allegedly pointed the gun at them.

A check revealed that the suspect had a previous robbery case from another town.

It can be noted that two motorcycle-riding suspects carted away P35,000 in cash from two cigarette company salesmen during a broad daylight heist at Barangay Gaub, Cabatuan.

Reports said that Daryl Tanangonan Lamitan, 41, of Barangay Balcon Milleza, Jordan, Guimaras and Jojo Sullano Buenafe of Barangay Buntatala, Jaro, Iloilo City had just alighted from their vehicle when they were robbed around 10:30 a.m.

As they were collecting dues from a sari-sari store owner-client, the two suspects stopped in front of them.

The driver and his backrider got off their motorcycle and approached the victims.

Estacio said the backrider pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victims, and took away the bag containing their collection money.

The suspects then sped off toward the area of San Miguel town.

The driver was allegedly wearing a protective helmet, while the backrider’s face was uncovered.
