BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Provincial Bids and Awards Committee (PBAC) will hold the pre-bidding of the proposed P10-million muscovado factory in Kabankalan City.

PBAC head and Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said the project is part of the World Bank-funded Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project.

Diaz said two bidders have expressed interest in the project, with the public bidding set on February 4.

The project will be maintained by farmer cooperatives in Kabankalan City.

An estimated P1 billion worth of proposed projects are funded by the World Bank in the province, most of which are infrastructure projects.
