A native of Leyte province was designated as the new commander of the Antique Police Provincial Office (AnPPO).

Police Colonel Roy Parena was appointed Antique police director effective Jan. 8, 2020. But he formally took over the AnPPO helm following a turnover of command ceremony Jan. 14 at the AnPPO headquarters in the capital town San Jose de Buenavista,

Parena, a member of Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class 1993, is the outgoing chief of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division (RLRDD), a post he held for two years and a month.

As AnPPO chief, Parena underscored the importance of each and every stakeholders’ support in the maintenance of peace and order.

As he pushed for inclusive governance in attaining their goals, he enjoined the community support for building up AnPPO.

It can be noted that Parena succeeded Police Colonel Leo Irwin Agpangan.

A member of PNPA Class 1989, Agpangan has been Antique police chief since October 2016.

He swapped posts with Parena at the RLRDD.
