PRO-6 holds CDM competition

THE Police Regional Office 6 (PRO 6) held the 2nd Regional Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) Competition at the PRO-6 Parade Ground of Camp Gen Martin Teofilo B. Delgado in Iloilo City on Aug 27, 2019.

The aim of the competition was to assess and test the operational readiness, equipage, competence and capability of different provincial offices, city police office and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RMFB)-6 in managing mass action and public disturbance in the region.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem J Malong, PRO-6 spokesperson, said the event aimed to highlight the capabilities of PNP personnel assigned in Western Visayas in responding to any civil disturbance/problems in their respective area based on the existing police operational procedure.

The competition was composed of three phases.

The first phase is the graded inspection which includes the completeness of the CDM complement, equipment, uniforms and support elements.

The second phase demonstration by company-size complement of eight basic CDM formations. The third phase is the problem-solving scenarios which required participants to solve and apply appropriate formation and procedure.

The winners will be announced after the contingents from Bacolod City Police Office and the Negros Occidental PPO perform on Sept 3, 2019 at Pana-ad Stadium in Bacolod City.
