After eight long months, Philippine volleyball will be back in action again.

The Philippine Superliga (PSL) just received the go-signal from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases regarding their proposed Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup.

However, the format would be totally different from the past and the management has to observe a bubble concept the same with the PFL and the PBA.

“Pinapayagan na rin po ang beach volleyball tournament ng Philippine Superliga sa ilalim ng sports bubble concept,” said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Previously, the PSL was eyeing November 27 as their restart date and will end in 29. The event is planned to be staged in Subic.

Before formally starting, the PSL will still have to receive the green-light to resume its training and the commitment of all participants.

The PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup will be the first volleyball tournament to be staged in the country amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
