The Choco Mucho Flying Titans leaned on its momentum-changing first-set comeback to blank Farm Fresh, 25-18, 25-13, 25-17, in the ongoing Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference last October 19, 2023, held at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.
After trailing 13-18 midway through the opening set, the Flying Titans turned on the jets and completed the comeback after mounting an insane 12-0 scoring run that sucked the life out of Farm Fresh.
Sisi Rondina led the charge for the Flying Titans, kicking off the squad’s waxing hot offensive display with consecutive cross-court spike kills.
Aside from Rondina’s scoring eruption, Choco Mucho’s timely adjustments on the defensive end allowed them to neutralize Farm Fresh’s on-point offense.
After taking care of the tight opening frame, the Flying Titans just stomped on Farm Fresh and swept the last two sets.
Rondina top-scored for Choco Mucho once again and dropped an impressive 21-point performance built from 17 successful attacks.
The high-flying outside hitter also stuffed the stats sheets and tallied six excellent receptions, three blocks, and a service ace.
Former DLSU standout Des Cheng backstopped Rondina with 10 markers, seven excellent digs, and five excellent receptions.
Despite a mini offensive run in the third and final set that helped Farm Fresh put themselves within striking distance, the duo of Rondina and Cheng countered with four straight points to help their advantage balloon again.
The Flying Titans will look to clinch their second straight victory as they face the Cignal HD Spikers on October 26, 2023.
