
Retired Justice Stephen Caperiña Cruz has been re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), reaffirming his leadership in the state-run postal service.
Justice Cruz took his oath before the Board of Directors and Postmaster General & CEO Luis D. Carlos on February 4, 2025, continuing his tenure at the helm of PHLPost.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Board Directors Hon. Ricardo R. Blancaflor, Hon. Noel V. Dacasin, and Hon. Ernesto O. Severino, alongside Postmaster General Carlos.
Meanwhile, Corporate Secretary Atty. Wendell V. Dimaculangan was also appointed as a member of the Board of Directors, while Hon. Maura Baghari-Regis was reappointed to her position on January 28, 2025.
As Chairman, Justice Cruz is expected to spearhead efforts to modernize PHLPost, enhancing digital transformation, strengthening logistics and delivery services, and improving efficiency in postal operations nationwide.
Postmaster General Luis D. Carlos expressed confidence in Cruz’s leadership, saying:
