On April 13, 2020, MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) donated rice to the Ilonggos.
In a turnover ceremony held at the Relief Operation Center in Jaro Gym this afternoon, Executive Assistant Francis Cruz of the Iloilo City government accepted MORE Power’s donation of 30 sacks of rice.
Cruz expressed his gratitude to MORE Power through its President and Chief Operating Officer, Roel Z. Castro, and to KEPCO SPC Power Corporation which extended its help to the Ilonggos in partnership with MORE Power.
MORE Power also sent 15 sacks of rice to the municipality of Concepcion, Iloilo.
Moreover, MORE Power and KEPCO SPC donated five sacks of rice to St. Paul’s Hospital through Sister Anna Tiguero, head of the Nursing Service Department.
MORE Power has since donated face masks, alcohol, sanitizer, and food packs to the frontliners in Iloilo City. Just last week, MORE Power donated 750 rapid test kits to the city and province of Iloilo.
According to Castro, as a public utility company, MORE Power wants to support the frontliners who have been at the forefront of the battle against COVID-19. He added that MORE Power will continue extending assistance until this crisis is overcome.
