A 17-year-old boy was gunned down in broad daylight by “riding-in-tandem” gunmen while he was playing at a computer cafe near their house in Molo, Iloilo City.

The incident happened in the thickly populated area of Barangay Salvacion Habog-Habog around 3:23 p.m. of Aug 20, 2020.

CCTV footage captured the two assailants leaving the area after shooting alias Pao-Pao.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound on the right portion of his face.

It is believed that he died instantly from his wound but members of the Iloilo City Emergency Responders (ICER) were called to take him to the hospital.

According to witnesses, the victim had been playing for 15 minutes before he was shot.

Investigation indicated that the back rider got off from the motorcycle, went inside the computer shop and shot the victim.

Both suspects were armed and were wearing crash helmets.

It only took 30 seconds for the triggerman to finish his mission.

Pao-Pao’s father claimed that he had no idea why someone wanted his son dead.

He described the victim to be a good boy and had no enemies.

Authorities are not discounting the possibility that the killing could be a case of mistaken identity.

The real target may have managed to flee and the suspects thought the teenager was their target.

Investigation is still going on to identify the suspects and ascertain the motive for the incident.
