Senior citizen, three others nabbed for drugs

BACOLOD City – Four persons, including an elderly man, were arrested while 18 grams of suspected shabu worth P122,400 were seized in a buy-bust operation at Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2 here yesterday.

Police Captain Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), identified the subject as Rogelio Climaco, 64, while three others were identified as Joemarie Obero, 35, of Barangay Singcang-Airport here; Miguel Cadagat, 40, of Barangay Sum-ag here; and Remy Mujares, 41, of Barangay 13 here.

Also recovered from them were the P1,000 marked money and an improvised tooter.

Mogato said Climaco’s house was allegedly being used as a drug den as he reportedly allows some of his customers to hold a pot session there.

Mogato added that the three other arrested persons were caught allegedly holding a pot session inside Climaco’s house during the operation.

Police placed Climaco under surveillance for three days after receiving information from a concerned citizen.

Mogato said Climaco is a street-level individual, while the three others are newly-identified individuals.

All four suspects are detained at Police Station 2 for the filing of drug charges.
