Six arrested in 2-day buy-busts

BACOLOD City – Six persons were apprehended for sale and possession of dangerous drugs here and in Negros Occidental from Aug 21 to 22, 2020.

The arrests also resulted in the confiscation of P84,412 worth of suspected shabu.

In Valladolid town, 55-year-old Pelomer Gegonia was arrested in a buy-bust at Barangay Central Tabao last Saturday.

Police recovered from him six sachets of suspected shabu valued at P13,600, and the P500 marked money.

In Hinoba-an town, Jesus Duhaylungsod, 35, of Barangay Asia was allegedly caught engaging in drug peddling at the said village last Friday.

Authorities seized from the suspect three sachets of suspected shabu valued at P36,312, and the P500 marked money.

Also arrested that day in another drug bust at Barangay 3, Victorias City was Rene Angelou Tabcug, 24 after he allegedly yielded eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, the P500 marked money, and P19,680 cash.

On that same day, Sherwin Hibionada, 29, of Barangay II, Hinigaran town was arrested in a buy-bust at Barangay Gargato, which resulted in the recovery of six sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, the P500 marked money, and P540 cash.

In Sagay City, Federico Mendrez Jr., 27, of Barangay Vito was arrested at the said village also on Friday.

Confiscated from him were seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,500, and the P500 marked money.

In Bacolod City, Renato Garcia, 30, of Barangay Singcang-Airport was arrested in a drug bust last week.

Personnel of Police Station 8 seized from him eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P25,000, and the P300 marked money.
