SOSIA chief calls on civilian security firms to be responsible

BACOLOD City – Police Brigadier General Michael John Dubria, chief of the PNP’s Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (SOSIA), on Tuesday underscored the need for civilian security personnel to be more responsible in carrying out their mandates.

Dubria made the call during the Vallacar Transit, Inc. training-seminar for its security personnel at the Ceres Corporate Headquarters in Barangay Mansilingan.

“The trainings and seminar program were conducted to raise the bar of excellence of AGNSA security guards primarily in harnessing their skills in the delivery of their services to VTI,” according to Jade Seballos,VTI Media Officer.

Dubra was joined by Police Colonel Fidel Dacpano in Bacolod City to keynote the offsite training seminar of 250 guards belonging to the AGNSA Negros Security Agency and the License to Operate and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) Caravan for VTI managers and officers.

Dacpano is the current chief of the Regional Civil Security Unit-6 based in Iloilo City.

Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC) President and Chief Executive Offier Leo Rey Yanson lauded AGNSA’s efforts to send their personnel to the training program. He also thanked PNP-SOSIA’s continued commitment to further improve the services of civil security firms.

The whole-day activity provided pre-licensing services, retraining course for guards, supervisory officers training as well as protective agent program.
