BACOLOD City – Two unidentified suspects robbed and killed a female teacher inside her house at Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.

Slain was Cecelia Adorador, 55, of the said village, an elementary school teacher.

Police Lieutenant Alfred Mansoy, deputy police chief, said Adorador was asleep in her room when the two robbers entered the house through the unlocked sliding window on the second floor.

They also destroyed the screen, he added.

The robbers then sneaked into the victim’s room and allegedly hit her head with a dumbbell, which caused her immediate death, Mansoy said.

Mansoy said the victim’s nephew discovered his lifeless aunt after he noticed that she did not go out of her house that day.

The robbers allegedly carted away cash and other valuables, but police have yet to determine the value of the stolen items, Mansoy said.

“It was raining hard when the incident happened,” Mansoy said, adding that they do not have witnesses to identify the perpetrators, who fled on foot.

But, he said they already have two persons of interest, adding that they are already tracing a lead.
