BACOLOD City – A couple was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation that yielded 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 at Purok Kahirup, Barangay Singcang-Airport here early Thursday.

Police identified the suspects as Leo Dungon, 36, of Barangay 13 here, and his live-in-partner Rodelyn Camento, 19, of Barangay Singcang-Airport here.

Both are considered high value individuals due to the volume of illegal drugs recovered from them, according to Police Captain Melvin Mercado, head of Police Station 8.

Mercado said that Dungon had been recently released from jail after he had served his sentence for a homicide case.

Mercado said that they received information from the community regarding the alleged illegal activity of the couple, prompting them to conduct validation and later the drug bust operation.

Mercado said that charges for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs will be filed against the two suspects.
