Three persons were found dead in the provinces of Iloilo and Guimaras morning of June 25, 2022.

The victims were identified as Villardo Nonesco, 48, a resident of Barangay Oyungan, Miag-ao, Iloilo; Lemuel Guadaña, 54, of Barangay Anilao, Pavia, Iloilo; and Jenil Dulaca, 24, of Unisan Island, Barangay Guiwanon, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.

The body of Nonesco was found around 11:30 a.m. Saturday on the shoreline of Barangay Maringyan, a village that sits adjacent to the victim’s residence.

No superficial injury was found on the victim’s body, except for blood coming out of his ears.

Captain Marvin Buenavista, Miag-ao police chief, said that the victim’s family asked that an autopsy be conducted to determine the cause of his death.

Meanwhile, Guadaña’s family declined autopsy on the victim’s believing that there was no foul play in his death.

Guadaña was last seen alive Friday morning after he left home to catch kalampay, a kind of river crab, at Aganan River at Barangay Anilao.

CCTV footages showed that the victim was seen descending from a high ground going to the river, where his body was eventually found.

It was believed that he could have slipped and hit his head on a hard object.

Dulaca, on the other hand, was found floating on the waters of Naoway Island in Barangay San Isidro, Sibunag, Guimaras around 6:15 a.m.

The victim allegedly went to a fiesta celebration Friday and failed to go home.

Residents claimed to have seen Dulaca at the side of the river around 4:00 in the afternoon of Friday. It was believed that he was already under the influence of liquor at that time.

His family has already requested for an autopsy.
