Three ‘wanted persons’ arrested

ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Three persons wanted for murder, homicide and illegal logging charges were arrested in separate operations Monday in the province of Capiz.

Police in Tapaz, Capiz nabbed Virgel Gayagaya, 36, of Brgy. San Antonio Tapaz at the house of his relative in Brgy. Poblacion, Tapaz.

Gayagaya is wanted for the crime of murder. Regional Trial Court Branch 21 Judge Rommel Lacson Leonor in Mambusao, Capiz issued the warrant on July 23, 2021.

No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

On the other hand, the Sapian Municipal Police Station collared Quirico Gerapista, 50, at his house in Sitio Perara, Brgy. Poblacion, Sapian town.

The warrant for his arrest was also issued by Judge Leonor on July 23, 2021 for the crime of homicide.

The court recommended a P120,000 bail for his temporary liberty.

Meanwhile, the President Roxas Municipal Police Station in President Roxas, Capiz arrested Alejandro Bangud, 54, of Brgy. Poblacion President Roxas town for violation of Presidential Decree 705 or the Forestry Reform Code of the Philippines.

The warrant for his arrest was issued by RTC Branch 15 Judge Alma Delfin with a P40,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
