Topex Robinson will no longer carry the “interim” head coach title for the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters.

The veteran coach’s tremendous job in the PBA bubble was more than enough for him to be promoted as the full-time head coach for Phoenix after steering them to a decent 4-3 win-loss record.

Coach Robinson was forced into the interim role after a shocking decision a few months ago when coach Louie Alas and the Fuel Masters decided to part ways.

However, the decision to promote Robinson became easy after Topex showed poise and qualities of a good head coach that helped mold their final verdict of naming him as their newest chief tactician.

“The Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters is happy to announce that coach Topex Robinson will be permanently retained as head coach of the team effective Nov. 1, 2020,” said Phoenix management in a statement.

With Calvin Abueva’s return after a 16-month lay-off, the Fuel Masters was injected with new life after it also featured a reunion between him and Robinson from their days in San Sebastian Stags.

“We look forward to achieving more with him as he continues to further develop the team’s potential, while establishing a franchise with a winning culture,” continued Phoenix’s statement.
