TV5 inks multi-year deal with ONE Championship

It’s official, the biggest Mixed Martial Arts promotion, ONE Championship, will be airing on Philippine media network, TV5.

The deal will allow “The Home of the Martial Arts” to be readily available to Filipinos across the country.

“It is with great excitement that I announce a multi-year partnership with one of the largest broadcasting companies in the Philippines. TV5 is the nationwide leader in digital innovation,” ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong said.

The first ONE series that TV5 will air will air will be ONE: No Surrender, the first MMA event of ONE amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, ONE Chairman and CEO Sityodtong has been finding ways to keep his MMA promotion ready anytime and that includes securing deals with large investors that helped them become financially stable.

“It started out as a one-off broadcast of ONE’s 100th event in October 2019, and because of the event’s success on our platform, we knew that a partnership like this was something that would definitely excite our CIGNAL subscribers,” said Sienna Olaso, FVP, Head of Channels and Content of Cignal TV.
