Two die from electrocution

BACOLOD City – Two persons died from electrocution in separate incidents at Barangay Villamonte here in the past two days.

The first incident happened on Dec 27, 2020 which claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy whose name was withheld.

Major Charles Gever, head of Police Station 4, said the victim was playing with his other friends when he climbed at the rooftop of Hi-strip building.

However, he accidentally touched the main electricity distribution line near the building.

Gever said the victim fell from the roof to the ground and was immediately taken to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), where he later expired.

The following day, Marjune Abreo of Cauayan, Negros Occidental was found dead by his co-worker inside the construction site of a hardware store in the said village.

Gever said the victim was walking alone to their barracks when he accidentally touched a galvanized iron pipe electrical post and was electrocuted.
