Two most wanted persons in Mindanao were arrested in separate operations in Iloilo province.
Colonel Paul Kenneth Lucas, Iloilo police chief, identified the suspects as Michael Concepcion, 35, of Basinilan in Cotabato province and Ronald Capillo, 34, of Upi, Maguidanao.
Concepcion, Basinilan’s third most wanted person, was arrested afternoon of Aug 21 at Badiangan town where he worked as a carpenter.
The suspect is temporarily staying at his friend’s house in Mina, Iloilo since January 2020.
Concepcion is wanted for homicide and murder.
Meanwhile, Capillo worked as a family helper at Barangay Barasan Oeste, Santa Barbara, when arrested.
Joint elements of Santa Barbara Police Station, Upi Police Station, and PNP Maritime Group 6 arrested the suspect by virtue of an arrest warrant for murder issued by Judge Cader Indar, Al Haj, of the 12th Judicial Region Branch 14, Cotabato City.
No bail was set for his temporary liberty.
Capillo is the number two most wanted person of Upi town.
Following their arrest, Lucas said they would further strengthen their campaign against wanted persons.
“Iloilo province is not a home for the fugitives of justice,” he said.
Lucas warned that those who run away from the law are never welcome in Iloilo province.
“If you come here, we will get you,” he said.
