Two pals nabbed for possessing P116,200 worth of ‘illegal drugs’

BACOLOD City – Police arrested two friends for the confiscation of P116,200 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation at Purok Villa Villeta, Barangay Estefania here last Sunday.

Police Captain Francis Depasucat, head of Police Station 5, identified the subject as Jefferson Claves, 26, of the said village. His companion was identified as Earl Jan Ansagay, 22, also of the said barangay.

Police confiscated from them 17 grams of suspected shabu worth P115,000, five grams of suspected marijuana worth P1,200, three lighters, an improvised tooter, the P500 marked money, and P307.

Depasucat said that Claves is a street-level individual who is under the station’s drugs watchlist.

The operation was also in coordination with the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU). Drug charges are being readied against the two suspects.
