BACOLOD City – A man allegedly stabbed his brother to death inside the latter’s house at Barangay Nabulao, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday.
Killed was Victor Aprasno, 47.
Investigation showed that the victim and suspect Freddie Aprasno, 42, were having a drinking session around 7 p.m. when a heated altercation ensued between them, followed by a commotion.
The victim sustained a lone stab wound on his back and was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Freddie surrendered to the police in Hinoba-an town, and was brought to Sipalay City Police Station. The following day, police served an arrest warrant for homicide against him.
The warrant was issued by Judge Reynaldo Alon of Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in La Carlota City on June 28, 2005. The court had set a bail of P40,000 for his provisional liberty.
