The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 6 is set to open over 12,000 job opportunities during the 122nd Labor Day job fair, as announced by Regional Director Atty. Sixto Rodriguez Jr.
With 172 employers participating, the job fair will span six provinces in Western Visayas, featuring various industries:
Aklan- Northwestern Visayan Colleges Gym
Antique- Robinson’s Antique
Capiz- Robinson’s Roxas
Guimaras- Buenavista Gymnasium
Iloilo City- Robinson’s Place Iloilo City
Negros Occidental- SM City Bacolod
The event, aligned with the theme “Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Manggagawang Pilipino Kabalikat at Kasama sa Pag-Asenso,” underscores the government’s commitment to job creation and economic advancement.
“This is the biggest event so far because we received the directive from the Secretary [Bienvenido Laguesma] himself, ordering all regional directors to conduct job fairs in all provinces in the region and other parts of the country. This is also the first time that it will be conducted in all provinces,” Atty. Rodriguez expressed.
Job seekers are encouraged to pre-register online to facilitate a smoother application process, allowing them to skip long lines and directly proceed to interviews with potential employers.
Prospective employees can still sign up until the day of the fair at https://bit.ly/2024LaborDay.
