Three men who were caught stealing bunches of banana killed a 64-year old woman early afternoon of March 25, 2020 in Pavia, Iloilo.

Crispina Gerbasa, a resident of Barangay Pandac, Pavia, allegedly cautioned the suspects whom she caught carrying the stolen banana.

Crispina was with her husband, 66-year-old Bonifacio, when the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

But Bonifacio, who suffers from physical disability, could only watch as the three men assaulted his wife.

The couple was about to go to a vacant lot to get their grazing cattle when the attack happened.

Crispina suffered two stab wounds on the chest, one on her neck, and a defense wound on her arm.

The men may have also struck her head with a hard object.

Police Major Jojo Tabaloc, Pavia police chief, said they already have persons of interest but declined to divulge their identities.

A manhunt operation is ongoing against the suspects.
