128 newly hired, promoted capitol employees take oath

Bacolod City – 128 newly hired and promoted employees of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental took their oaths of office before Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson in a ceremony held at the Provincial Capitol on Feb 21, 2020.

The employees were hired or promoted in different departments and offices of the provincial government, as well as in the provincial government-owned hospitals from March to June 2019.

They also attended a job orientation seminar conducted by the Civil Service Commission and were informed of their rights and privileges as well as the limitations and sanctions that govern public servants.

Lacson congratulated the employees especially those who got promoted.  He said that it is a privilege to be part of an organization that adheres to excellence.

He also advised the employees not to expect the same work after promotion but put in the extra mile for more improvement of the government service.

Meanwhile, Lacson commended Capitol employee Joserito Montebano of the Provincial Administrator’s Office – Procurement Services Division for turning over to the bank the P50,000 cash which he found in one of the Landbank ATM machines in Bacolod City last February 7.

Montebano received a certificate and P10,000 cash in recognition of his honesty.

The activity was spearheaded by Provincial Human Resource Management Office headed by Atty. Anabelle Palic.

Also present in the activity were Board Members Manuel Frederick Ko and Tinto Bascon, and the heads of the concerned departments and offices, and chiefs of hospitals.
