BACOLOD City – An estimated P141,219 worth of suspected shabu was seized from 13 persons in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from December 9 to 11.

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confiscated about P68,500 worth of suspected shabu from five persons in the past three days.

Personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), and Police Stations 2, 7, and 10, conducted the busts at Barangays 2, Felisa, Mansilingan, and Banago.

For Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), about P72,719 worth of the same contraband were recovered by police, which resulted in the apprehension of eight persons.

Police led the buy-bust operations in the cities of Victorias, Cadiz, Sagay, Silay, Bago, and Sipalay, and the municipalities of Murcia and Toboso.

The biggest drug haul was in Barangay Mansilingan here, where 30-year-old Ryan Gonzaga was arrested Thursday after he allegedly yielded seven grams of suspected shabu worth P47,600, the P500 marked money, and an improvised tooter.

Gonzaga, according to the police, is a drug surrenderer and a high-value individual.
