ROXAS CITY, Capiz – 162 repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs) from Manila and parts of Luzon arrived in Capiz Tuesday afternoon.

On board the sweeper flight of Air Asia, the repatriated OFWs and LSIs were able to go home through the help of Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras.

The provincial government facilitated the free rapid test, travel authority, and plane ticket of the repatriates.

The repatriates completed the requirements before they boarded the plane and underwent health screening and decontamination procedures upon disembarkation.

The LSIs received financial assistance of P2,000 each from the provincial government and were transferred to quarantine facilities of their respective LGUs to undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine in accordance with the protocol set by the National Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).
