2022 performance of schools in board examinations

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Midwifery announced that 733 out of 1,559 examinees nationwide, or 47.02%, passed the Midwife Licensure Examination given in 15 testing centers all over the country in April 2022.

The Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines Foundation (IMAP) School of Midwifery from the Region ranked number 4 in the said examination with 15 or more examinees and with at least 80% passing percentage.

While Iloilo Doctors College ranked number 5 in the said examination with 15 or more examinees and at least 80% passing percentage. Four (4) schools in the Region out of 4, or 100%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level.

The region produced 41 passers out of 53 takers, or 77.36% passing percentage. There were 30 first takers and 23 repeaters from the Region who took the said examination. The first takers’ passing percentage is 90%. The repeaters’ passing percentage is 60.87%.

On the other hand, the PRC Board of Pharmacy announced that a total of 678 out of 1,869 examinees nationwide, or 36.28%, passed the Pharmacist Licensure Examination given in April 2022.

Three (3) schools in Western Visayas out of 6, or 50%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level. The region produced 78 passers out of 172 takers, or a 45.35% passing percentage. There were 117 first takers and 55 repeaters from the Region who took the said examination. The first takers’ passing percentage is 54.7%. The repeaters’ passing percentage is 25.45%.

In March 2022 the PRC Board of Medical Technology announced that a total of 1,268 out of 2,752 examinees nationwide, or 46.08%, passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given in fourteen (14) testing centers nationwide.

One (1) school in Western Visayas out of 6, or 17%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level. The region produced 43 passers out of 105 takers, or a 40.95% passing percentage. There were 60 first takers and 45 repeaters from the Region who took the said examination. The first takers’ passing percentage is 48.3%. The repeaters’ passing percentage is 31.1%.

Also in March 2022, the PRC Board of Medicine announced that a total of 1,427 out of 2,837 examinees nationwide, or 50.3%, passed the Physician Licensure Examination given in thirteen (13) testing centers nationwide.

Ma. Phoebe Talves Subo of West Visayas State University ranked number 8 in the said examination for Physicians. Three (3) schools in Western Visayas out of 4, or 75%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level.

The region produced 76 passers out of 128 takers, or 59.38% passing percentage. There were 79 first takers and 49 repeaters from the Region who took the said examination. The first takers’ passing percentage is 76%. The repeaters’ passing percentage is 33%.

On the other hand, the PRC Board of Architecture announced that a total of 1,370 out of 2,205 examinees nationwide, or 62.39%, passed the Architect Licensure Examination in January 2022. Two (2) schools in Western Visayas out of 6, or 33%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level.

The region produced 69 passers out of 125 takers, or a 55.2% passing percentage. There were 99 first takers and 26 repeaters from the Region who took the said examination. The first takers’ passing percentage is 61.62%.  The repeaters’ passing percentage is 30.77%.

Aklan State University – Kalibo in Kalibo, Aklan, with a passing average of 90%, ranked number 1 in the Region in the said examination among schools with 15 or more examinees and with at least 80% passing percentage.
