356 new PRO-6 cops take their oath

After going through vigorous screening and selection process conducted by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 regional office, 356 recruits took their oath of office on Aug 24, 2020 at the Regional Training Center 6 (RTC 6), Bacolod City.

In his message, Brigadier General Rene P Pamuspusan, PRO-6 director, reminded the PNP recruits that being a police office is a good paying job but it must be coupled with hardship and dedication. The salary they will receive entails commitment.

The 356 new breed of police officers is composed of 292 males and 64 females.

The ceremony was simultaneously done virtually with no less than the Chief PNP, General Archie Francisco F Gamboa who officiated the oath-taking ceremony for all the recruits in the whole country.

After taking oath, these patrolmen and women will undergo the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) for six months at RTC-6 in Bacolod City and will be followed by another 6 months of Field Training Program (FTP) which will qualify them for permanency.

They will be receiving a basic monthly salary of Php29,668 aside from allowances and other benefits.

“I challenge everyone (the recruits) to prove to us that you are all worthy of joining the PNP organization, wear our uniform with vigor, strong will and determination,” Pamuspusan said.
