978 cops promoted to next ranks

BACOLOD City – More than 900 police officers here and in Negros Occidental were promoted to higher ranks this month.

Of the figure, 709 personnel were from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), while 269 others were from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).

The news about the promotion was released this week.

In Nocppo, 52 were police commissioned officers, including 13 new Police Majors and 39 Police Captains.

For police non-commissioned officers in the province, 34 were promoted to Police Executive Master Sergeant, 40 others were promoted to Police Chief Master Sergeant, 28 were Police Senior Master Sergeant, 57 were Police Master Sergeant, 317 were Police Staff Sergeant, and 181 were Police Corporal.

For BCPO, 18 were police commissioned officers, while 251 were police non-commissioned officers.

The donning of ranks is tentatively scheduled for January 2023.
