Is it really happening?
After months of speculation, the Manny Pacquiao-Terence Crawford super fight is finally back in the picture after Top Rank Promotions head honcho Bob Arum’s revelation.
According to The Athletic, Arum confirmed to ESPN that he is already asking to reserve June 5 for both fighters for their mega-fight to be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Talks of a Pacquiao-Crawford fight died down a few months ago when Mikey Garcia’s name became the leading candidate out of the top welterweights.
Pacquaio and his camp previously confirmed that they will be accepting the Crawford fight if Arum can secure the $40 million as their guaranteed amount.
With his revelation and an expectation of a June 5 fight, will Arum finally make it work this time?
At stake is Crawford’s World Boxing Organization welterweight belt while Pacquiao will have his 26-year legendary boxing career to protect.
