The TNT Tropang Giga will be a man down after superstar Bobby Ray Parks Jr. confirmed that he will not play.

The savvy leftie scorer who led the Tropang Giga to the PBA bubble championship posted in his Instagram account and shared that due to family reasons, he won’t be able to help the team for its redemption campaign.

“It is with a heavy heart that I will have to excuse myself and not partake in this year’s PBA season due to personal reasons which in particular, my family,” posted Parks Jr.

Parks Jr. was a vital piece to TNT’s fantastic run during the PBA bubble edition after going off to end the season with 22.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per contest.

However, Parks Jr. missed the last 4 games of the finals series against the Ginebra San Miguel due to a strained calf injury.

“It was not an easy decision to make, especially since I’ve been in constant talks with TNT management but right now, this is what’s best for me and my family,” continued Parks Jr.

With Parks Jr.’s absence in the upcoming PBA season, the Tropang Giga will have to rely on Jayson Castro, Troy Rosario, and RR Pogoy’s offense and leadership.

“I will always be grateful for the opportunity to represent TNT and be part of such as special team and culture. Hopefully one day, once everything is resolved, I can come back to the team and help bring a championship to TNT,” Parks Jr. shared.
