Cha Cruz-Behag will be making a highly-anticipated comeback in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), but not as a player.

According to multiple reports, the former De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers superstar will be suiting up as an assistant coach for the Petro Gazz Angels.

Behag, who last played for the now-defunct F2 Logistics Cargo Movers during the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference, will be coaching alongside Petro Gazz’s chief tactician Koji Tsuzurabara of Japan.

A four-time UAAP champion with the DLSU Lady Spikers, Behag’s experience through the years helped her qualify for the mentorship job post at Petro Gazz.

Aside from her collegiate success, Behag also grabbed the limelight when the Philippine Super Liga was still active.

In the PSL scene, Behag, together with her teammates in F2 Logistics, won a total of three championship titles before the franchise transferred to the PVL.

However, Behag’s professional volleyball career had to take a major pause after she left the Cargo Movers due to motherhood.

Behag will look to help Petro Gazz win back-to-back PVL Reinforced Conference titles. Last import-laced conference, the Angels set their foot on the gold medal podium of the league.

As of now, the Petro Gazz management is yet to name their final playing import for this year’s Reinforced Conference.

Leading the locals for the Angels are Brooke Van Sickle, Jonah Sabete, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, MJ Phillips and Djanel Cheng.
