BACOLOD City – Councilor Al Victor Espino called on the Philippine National Police here to solve the series of shooting incidents in Bacolod City.

In a radio interview, Espino, chairman of the Committee on Police Matters, also called on the public not to “isolate” Bacolod because of the killings.

He said shooting incidents do not only happen in this city but in other areas as well.

Espino added that the issues on the anti-drug war and extrajudicial killings are also prevalent in other areas in the country, not only in this city.

He also labelled as malicious claims that these crimes are only happening in Bacolod.

He appealed to the public not to “politicize” the issue.

Last Wednesday night another person was shot dead by four unidentified suspects on board an SUV vehicle in front of the barangay hall of Estefani village.

Recently, a businessman and his companion were also shot dead inside a car at the Bacolod reclamation which was followed by the shooting to death of a man on a motorcycle.
