Iloilo City Councilor Jojo Javellana denies using illegal electricity connection or jumper in their water refilling station at Brgy. Loboc in the Lapuz district.

Javellana said in radio interviews that the water refilling has long been closed and that they applied for a legitimate connection with MORE Electric and Power Corp.

He added that he had a sub-metering arrangement with his friend for their electricity supply when the business was still running.

According to MORE Power spokesperson Jonathan Cabrera, their apprehension team saw an electrical wire directly connecting the water refilling station to the secondary distribution line without passing through a meter.

MORE Power’s apprehension team discovered the alleged illegal connection around 9:30 am Monday in response to a tip the company received over the weekend.

According to Cabrera, their team had no idea who owned the establishment until Javellana and his wife claimed to be the owners and explained the situation.
