BACOLOD City – Anger triggered a daughter to conspire with her boyfriend to kill her mother who opposed their relationship in Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.
Police Captain Rhojn Darell Nigos, town police chief, withheld the name of the 44-year-old victim.
Nigos said the victim was sleeping at home past 8 p.m. when her 17-year-old daughter allowed her 17-year-old boyfriend to enter their house.
Nigos said the victim’s two other minor-children and her elderly mother were already sleeping when the incident happened.
“Wala sila kabati sang may naglagabong,” he added.
But some of their neighbors heard noises from the victim’s house, but they did not bother to check.
Few hours later, the victim was found with two stab wounds in the chest and arms, and a slash wound in the chest.
Police responded and caught the victim’s daughter trying to clean the crime scene inside their home.
Nigos said the daughter initially denied her involvement in the crime, as well as her boyfriend.
But police later found a lead when they saw the name of her boyfriend printed on her wristband.
Police recovered a knife from the crime scene and later arrested the boyfriend at their house.
The couple later admitted to the crime in the middle of the investigation, according to Nigos.
“Nangakig daw sila, may kainit or dumot ang laki. Sobra nga kainit kag kaakig kay gabalabag iya iloy sa ila pagpalanggaanay,” Nigos said.
Prior to the killing, Nigos said the couple had a conversation on social media about their plan against the victim.
“Gina storyahan nila kung san-o himu-on even kung diin igu-on ang biktima,” Nigos said.
Another conversation was discovered when they talked about the incident after it was committed, Nigos said.
Nigos said the daughter expressed her regrets, saying that she was angry at her mother.
Parricide charges was already filed against the daughter, while a murder charge was also filed against her boyfriend yesterday.
