More or less Php10 million worth of Enhanced National Greening Program (eNGP) projects for new plantations were granted to different People’s Organization.
The recipients were Bakiang Upland Farmers Association, Cananghan Upland Farmers Association, Culyat Iraynon Bukidnon Tribal Association, Iglinab Upland Farmers Association, Ipayo Tree Growers Association Inc., San Ramon Upland Farmers Association, Marigne Upland Farmers Association, Idao Integrated Social Forestry Farmers Association, Mayabay Integrated Social Forestry Farmers Association, Narirong, Tabong-Tabong, and Tig-alaran Farmers Association.
The projects were handed out during the launching of Central Antique Convergence Area held at Valderrama, Antique, just recently.
DENR-6 Regional Director Francisco E. Milla stressed that “Environment Secretary Roy A. Cimatu has been so concerned to bring our programs and projects nearer to the countryside fist to the Province of Antique and to all other provinces nationwide to promote greater peace and security towards sustainable and resilient environment and economic progress that will change the lives of our people.”
People’s Organization (POs) is a local, grass-roots group that plays an important role in helping and achieving the activities, projects and programs of the department.
Enhanced National Greening Program is one of the 10- Priority Programs of DENR Secretary Roy A.
