Five alleged street level individual (SLI) drug personalities were arrested in separate police anti-narcotics operations in less than 24 hours in Iloilo City.
The suspects were identified as Monaliza Flores, 37, of Barangay North Baluarte, Molo, Iloilo City; Romel Zamora, 49, of Lanit, Jaro; Rogell Lawrence Maglupay, 40, of Barangay Bantud, La Paz; and Gilbert Deslate, 36, and Jhossar Lacson, 29, both of Zone 1-A, Barangay San Juan, Molo.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Office – City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU), together with the Iloilo City Police Station 4, nabbed Flores at her home evening of June 19.
She allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P12,000.
Police later seized four more sachets of suspected shabu from her.
The recovered drugs from Flores weighed around 25 grams with a standard drug price value of P170,000.
Meanwhile, members of ICPS3 arrested Zamora at Lanit village around 12:10 a.m. on June 20.
Suspected shabu worth P54,400 was seized from the suspect.
Maglupay, on the other hand, was arrested 3:30 p.m. of Tuesday at Zone 1, Barangay Nabitasan, La Paz.
Drugs valued at P20,400 were seized from his possession.
Forty minutes later, CDEU and ICPS4 operatives arrested Deslate and Lacson at San Juan village.
The duo allegedly confederated in selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P7,000.
Seized from their possession were drugs valued at P81,00.
All five suspects are now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
