These were all on display in the kickoff event of Hala Bira!: Dinagyang Arts Festival. The event opened with a fashion show at the Festive Mall Iloilo last January 10, 2020, showcasing Ilonggo designers John Larlar, Jeff Ticao, and Kevin Hiballes in a parade of collections done in Hablon and other local fabrics. The band called Trauma performed while the models sashayed the runway. It was at the same event where they opened the screening of Ilonggo independent films to the public. Project Head Ria Bolivar together with Quito Treñas both highlighted the importance of showing off the rich culture of the Ilonggos. “This is an opportunity to showcase how rich our culture is in the form of fashion, music and film. And there is no other perfect time to do this than now, while we celebrate the colorful festivities of Dinagyang.”
The said event was presented by the office of Councilor Jay Treñas through the efforts of the Iloilo City Government, Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc and the Department of Tourism Region 6 and San Jose Parish.
